Happy Thanksgiving from HHGA! We wish you a happy and safe holiday this week.

We have an upcoming St. Andrew’s Day family picnic, and we need your help to make our 2019 athletic games event a reality.

We are currently working to host an athletic competition in 2019, but we need your help. Ron Ammons, our VP site is requesting volunteers for our site coordination committees.The following committees are under the VP Site.  Each committee is needed for us to have a successful event.

Grounds Committee – This committee shall be responsible for overseeing the preparation of the games site, including setup of tents, equipment, stages, dance platforms, public address systems, first aid, and restrooms.  The committee shall allocate space, and arrange for security, clean-up and such other services as may be necessary for the smooth operation of events on the day of the Games. (This committee is basically in force now, but we could use some others to help.  Main help will be needed during the weekend of the Games.)

Special Attractions Committee – This committee shall be responsible for arranging for groups and individuals to participate on the day of the Games.

Clans and Societies Committee – This committee shall be responsible for arranging for Clan and other Celtic Societies to participate on the day of the Games.

Vendors Committee – This committee shall be responsible for choosing commercial enterprises and food concessions to participate on the day of the Games.

Come join HHGA for a family friendly picnic to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day at Sugar Land Memorial Park in Sugar Land, Texas,  Jaycee Park in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 from 10 AM to noon. St. Andrew is the patron saint of fishermen, singers, SCOTLAND, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, and Patras. We will have fried chicken and non-alcoholic drinks to share on a first come/first serve basis. Please bring your own sides, and enjoy a morning of family fun with fellow HHGA members and their friends at the park.
